About:
Aztrum is working with an independent Environmental Noise & Vibration Consultancy in their search for a Junior Acoustic Consultant to join their growing team in London. You’ll be given the chance to gain experience on a range of projects including airport noise, rail construction noise management, data centre noise assessments, planning applications, entertainment spaces including London in the Sky & many more!
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Acoustic Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting the acoustics team. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting noise and vibration assessments for various development projects
- Assisting with acoustic measurements, data collection, and analysis
- Undertaking acoustic modelling using CadnaA and ODEON software
- Preparing technical reports, environmental statements, and assessment documentation
- Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to deliver effective acoustic solutions
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry regulations, standards, and best practices
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated individual with a strong interest in Acoustic Consultancy. To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Acoustics, Mathematics, Sound Engineering, Physics, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
- A willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings, with a valid UK driving license being essential
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of UK noise regulations and standards is beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided
