Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring compliance with budgets.
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, and procurement schedules.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage variations and claims, ensuring proper documentation and justification.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in quantity surveying or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional membership (e.g., RICS) is preferred but not mandatory.
