Experienced HGV Mechanics 

Location: Dublin

Salary: €45,000 to €55,000 Plus Benefits

About the Role

Ballywater Supply Chain Recruitment is seeking skilled and qualified HGV Mechanics for multiple clients in Dublin. These roles are ideal for experienced mechanics looking to work with reputable logistics and transportation companies within the Transport and Commercial Maintenance sector in Dublin.  Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the safety, compliance, and efficient operation of commercial vehicles, including regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and safety inspections on HGVs in compliance with RSA standards
• Diagnose, repair, and service mechanical and electrical issues in HGVs, trailers, and related equipment
• Conduct brake, engine, transmission, and fuel system repairs as needed
• Use diagnostic tools and follow manufacturer guidelines to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle faults
• Perform pre-CVRT (Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Testing) inspections and ensure vehicles are test-ready
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
• Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to maintain an efficient and safe workshop environment
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role in a workshop or fleet setting
• Relevant qualification or certification in vehicle mechanics (FETAC, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with HGV inspection and repair standards, particularly RSA and CVRT requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full, clean driving license (C/CE license advantageous but not essential)
