How to ensure quality data

Step 1: Understand the demand-

Understand the job profile and ask yourself a few questions:

  • What does the company do?
  • Which skills would be needed to fulfill the criteria?
  • What measures need to taken to find the exact talent?

Step 2: Segregate relevant data-

Based on the criteria, extract relevant data from the pool of candidates. Use system defined filters. It makes searches easier.

Step 3: Assessment

Assess the existing data against rules specified in Step 1. Assess data against multiple dimensions such as accuracy of key attributes, completeness of all required attributes, consistency of attributes across multiple data sets, timeliness of data etc. Examine the data and add them to the ATS ( Applicant tracking system).

Divide them based on their eligibility and the clearance rate.

Step 4: Implementation /  Improvement

At this stage, you have your list of records and have been sent to the recruiter for analyzing. At this moment you can identify the success rate. The conversion of candidates into placements will determine your quality of data.
