What I would like to focus on here is, how you reach your customers. When it comes to Emails you need to be very careful how you go about it. Millions of emails are sent on a day to day basis. And most are promotional. Because of this high increase, most emails are filtered.


Not ensuring the best practices might lower the score of your emails. This means instead of going into the inbox they might end up in spam. And what’s worse – if your email doesn’t meet certain standards it might not even reach your customers/client’s inboxes.

And if this starts happening, even your future campaigns will be affected. So all your efforts in finding the right message, right information, and right audience will go in vain.

That’s why learning and implementing the right practices is of paramount need.

1. Verify your Sender List Emails

Nothing is worse than hours of sending emails to clients whose Email IDs are non-existent. 

In such scenarios, the email will not be received by the recipient. This phenomenon is also called Hard bounce. This leads to lower email scores that will in turn hurt your future email campaigns.

2. Insert an UNSUBSCRIBE button in your emails

If I keep sending you emails without giving you an option to opt out you’d get mighty pissed. The same goes for your recipients. We need to provide our clients with an option to choose what they want. 

Why is this important? This is because if you keep sending emails to customers/ clients that do not wish to receive them they will start marking your emails as spam. An accumulation of this will lead to your entire campaign getting affected.

3. Clean your Email lists

Continuing upon the above, some recipients don’t even bother checking their emails or even opening them. And the bad news – if your emails aren’t being opened then your email scores fall as well. This means your campaigns might take an overall hit.

a. Snovio – shows you how many times your emails have been opened by a recipient
b. Mailtrack – shows if your email has been opened or forwarded
c. Streak – shows you from which location your mail has been opened

4. CONTENT

While I did say that content is unique to you, I thought I’d highlight some good practices. You know, as a final tip.
If you send emails with the same content, and possibly a common style – then you’re in for a shock. 

If your content seems plagiarized or copied or even forwarded, there’s a good chance your emails never make it to the inbox either.

 

You should therefore ensure you don’t use any copied content or follow a very common method of conveying stuff.

Oh, on a side note – Click baits usually get flagged, so be real!
