Export limits & approvals

Large data exports are now controlled and accountable. Import and Export are separate permissions, so people can be trusted to bring data in without necessarily being able to take it out (or the reverse).

For each module - Candidates, Contacts, Companies, Leads, Jobs, Opportunities and Placements — you can cap how many records anyone can export at once, with those caps applying to Team Lead and Team Member roles while Super users stay unrestricted, and any module left unlimited simply behaves exactly as before.

Exports within the cap download instantly as always, while anything over it can either be blocked outright or routed for approval: an approval request goes to the Super users you nominate (in-app and by email), and once they approve, the requester is notified and can download the file - so big exports still happen, they just don't happen unnoticed.

The result is a clear, auditable trail around your most sensitive data leaving the system, without slowing down everyday exports. It can all be configured from System Configuration → Export Limits.
