WhatsApp Business, inside your recruitment CRM
Buy a number in Recruitly, switch it on for WhatsApp Business in one click, and your team messages candidates and clients under your agency's verified name. Every message is saved on the record, and Meta's rules are built into the window your recruiters type in.

The problem
Your agency's WhatsApp lives on your consultants' phones
A consultant leaves on Friday, and the number your candidates know leaves with them.
Most agencies run WhatsApp from their consultants' own phones. That works until a candidate who has not replied in three days needs chasing, a client asks whether the offer was read, or the conversation you need is on a handset that has just left the building. The official WhatsApp Business channel solves all of it, but getting on it has meant a developer, a provider contract and weeks of Meta paperwork.
The number
- Candidates save a consultant's personal number, so the relationship walks out with them
- Two recruiters on one candidate means two numbers and two half-conversations
- No company line the whole desk can answer from
The rules
- WhatsApp Business only lets you type freely for 24 hours after someone messages you
- Outside that window only a Meta-approved template gets through
- Nobody on a busy desk tracks a clock per candidate
The setup
- A Meta developer app, a provider account and an API key to paste somewhere
- A verification code sent to a line nobody can answer
- Still no link to the candidate record when it finally works
Our solution
1
Buy a number and switch it on
Every number in your Recruitly Phone System can carry WhatsApp Business. Buy one in the Phone System, or use a number you already have, and press Enable next to it.
- Any active number works, whether it belongs to a recruiter or the whole desk.
- The number stays with the agency when a consultant moves on.
- SMS and calls keep working on the same number.
2
Connect your business once, then every number is one click
The first time, a guided window walks you through connecting your business to Meta. Meta texts a code to your number, Recruitly catches it and shows it in large digits, and the window ticks through registration until the number is live.
- Done once for the whole company, never per number.
- Every number after that goes live with no Meta step and no Facebook sign-in.
- Recruitly is an approved Meta Tech Provider, so there is no developer and no third party.

Message from the record, and keep every word
Your team sends from the same WhatsApp window they already use in Recruitly. They pick the Business number from a chip beside the candidate's name, and every message in and out lands on the record.
- A countdown shows how long the 24-hour window has left.
- Sent, Delivered, Read or Failed on every message, with the ticks you know.
- Replies can open a conversation for the team automatically.

Reach anyone with templates Meta has approved
Templates are how you message a candidate who has not written to you first. You write them in Recruitly, Recruitly sends them to Meta, and when a recruiter sends one the name, the job and the interview time are already filled in.
- A starter pack is submitted the day your account goes live.
- Only approved templates are ever offered to recruiters.
- Rejected? The card shows Meta's reason so you can fix it.

WhatsApp Personal or WhatsApp Business
Recruitly has both, and one WhatsApp window lets every recruiter choose which to send from. Most agencies use Personal for a consultant’s own relationships and Business for the numbers the agency owns.
WhatsApp Personal
- Your own WhatsApp, linked with a QR code in ten seconds
- No Business API and no Meta approval
- Free on every Recruitly plan
- Messages from your phone, saved on the record
WhatsApp Business
- A number the agency owns, bought in Recruitly
- Your verified business name on every message
- Approved templates reach people outside the 24-hour window
- Pay per delivered message, no monthly fee
You pay for the messages Meta delivers, and nothing else
Each message is priced by the country of the person you message and the type of message, and comes off your Recruitly credit like SMS. Every country’s price is on the rates page.

Questions recruiters ask
What is WhatsApp Business in Recruitly?
It is the official WhatsApp channel Meta runs for companies, built into Recruitly. You switch it on for a number in your Recruitly Phone System, and your team sends and receives WhatsApp messages from that number inside the CRM, with every message saved on the candidate or contact record. Recruitly is an approved Meta Tech Provider, so the setup happens inside Recruitly with no developer and no third-party tool.
How is it different from WhatsApp Personal in Recruitly?
WhatsApp Personal links a consultant's own WhatsApp by scanning a QR code, and it stays the quickest way to message from your own phone. WhatsApp Business runs on a number your agency owns, shows your verified business name, lets you contact people outside the 24-hour reply window with Meta-approved templates, and stays with the agency when a consultant leaves. You can use both, and one WhatsApp window lets each recruiter pick which one to send from.
Do I need a Meta developer account or a separate provider?
No. You connect your business once from inside Recruitly with a short Meta sign-in, and Recruitly handles the registration, the verification code and the number setup. There is no API key to paste and no separate WhatsApp provider to contract with.
How much does it cost?
You pay for each message Meta delivers, priced by the country of the person you message and the type of message, taken from your Recruitly credit like SMS. Messages people send you are free and there is no monthly fee. From 1 October 2026 Meta also charges for replies inside the 24-hour window once a number has sent 1,000 of them that month. Every country's price is on the WhatsApp Business rates page.
Can the whole team use one number?
Yes. A WhatsApp Business number can be assigned to one recruiter or shared as a company line, and everyone who can send from it replies from the same conversation on the record.
Does Recruitly respect Meta's WhatsApp rules?
The rules are built into the window you send from. Inside the 24-hour window after someone messages you, you type freely. Outside it, Recruitly only offers your Meta-approved templates, so a recruiter cannot send a message Meta would reject.
