Message candidates on WhatsApp Business from the record
Your team sends from the same WhatsApp window they already use in Recruitly. They pick the Business number, type freely while the 24-hour window is open, send an approved template when it is closed, and every message lands on the record with its ticks.

The problem
Meta's 24-hour rule catches recruiters out
A candidate replies on Monday, you answer on Wednesday, and WhatsApp refuses to send it.
WhatsApp Business lets you reply freely for 24 hours after someone messages you, and after that only an approved template goes through. Nobody on a busy desk keeps a clock per candidate, so replies fail, the recruiter tries again from their own phone, and the conversation ends up split across two numbers with half of it missing from the record.
On the desk
- Messages that fail with no reason the recruiter understands
- The same candidate messaged from two different numbers
- No idea whether the offer message was read
On the record
- WhatsApp conversations that never reach the CRM
- A manager covering a desk who can't see what was said
- Replies nobody on the team was told about
Our solution
1
One WhatsApp window, with the sender beside the name
Recruiters open WhatsApp on a candidate or contact exactly as they do today. A chip beside the person's name says who the message goes out as, and one click switches between WhatsApp Personal and a WhatsApp Business number.
- Each option explains itself in one line, so nobody sends from the wrong number.
- Recruitly remembers the sender each recruiter used last.
- The WhatsApp compose window on a record can send from Business too.
- While the window is closed, the chat box tells you it opens as soon as they reply.
Send from
Recruitly remembers the one you used last

Every message lands on the record, ticks and all
Each message in and out appears on the candidate or contact timeline as a WhatsApp Business card, with the template used and exactly how far it got. Anyone covering the desk sees the whole conversation.
- Sent, Delivered, Read or Failed, with the ticks you know from your phone.
- The WhatsApp filter on the timeline covers Business messages too.
- Incoming messages can open a team conversation automatically, set separately for Business.
- Business templates sit in My Templates next to your email and SMS ones.

Questions recruiters ask
Where do recruiters send WhatsApp Business messages from?
From the same WhatsApp window they already use on a candidate or contact. A sender chip beside the person's name lets them choose WhatsApp Business or WhatsApp Personal, and Recruitly remembers the one they used last.
What is the 24-hour window?
Meta's rule for WhatsApp Business: after someone messages you, you have 24 hours to reply with any message you like. Recruitly shows the time left as a countdown. When the window is closed, you start the conversation with an approved template, and you can type freely again as soon as they reply.
Can we message from the WhatsApp compose window too?
Yes. The WhatsApp compose window on a record can send from a WhatsApp Business number as well: a typed message while the window is open, an approved template when it is closed.
Are messages saved on the record?
Every message in and out lands on the record's timeline as a WhatsApp Business card, with the template used and whether it was sent, delivered, read or failed. You can also have incoming messages open a conversation for your team automatically, set separately for WhatsApp Business in Conversation settings.
Do we know when a message has been read?
Yes. Each message shows the WhatsApp ticks you know from your phone, plus the word: Sent, Delivered, Read, or Failed if it did not go through.
Give your team WhatsApp Business in the window they already use.
