Blind CVs: share the candidate and protect your placement fee
A blind CV hides the candidate's name, contact details and identifiers so a client can judge the profile without going around your agency. Here is how to make one in seconds.
Once a client has a candidate's CV, nothing stops them calling the candidate directly. A blind CV removes the name, contact details and other identifiers, so you present the candidate professionally and your fee stays protected.

Find candidates without a blind CV
In Candidates, click Try AI and ask for candidates with a CV but no blind CV. Generate the query and the list is ready.
Generate the blind CV
- Open the candidate and go to the CV section. The original shows their email and phone.
- Go to the Blind CV section.
- The name, email, phone number and LinkedIn URL are always removed. Choose whether to remove education, dates or past jobs too.
- Click Generate Blind CV, then Generate PDF to save it in the Blind CV section.
Compare it with the original and only the candidate reference and profile remain. See agency CVs and CV speccing.
Why send clients a blind CV?
So the client can assess the candidate without the details they would need to contact them directly, which protects your relationship with the candidate and your fee.
Can I keep past employers on a blind CV?
Yes. Identity details are always removed, and you choose whether education, dates and past jobs stay.
