Every agency keeps building a list of businesses and people it wants to work with. In Recruitly those are leads. When a lead shows genuine interest and there is a likely job behind it, it becomes a deal. This video explains the difference and how to work both.

Watch it on Recruitly Play (4 min 11 s), part of the Win clients series.

Leads: your cold prospects

A lead is someone you believe could become a client but have not had a meaningful conversation with yet. The lead record holds their details, pipeline stage, every email and their LinkedIn profile.

When a lead becomes a deal

When the lead replies with real interest, even before they commit. Open the lead, click Convert at the top right and choose Deal. Add the title, job type and the other details, then click Create.

Deals: your hot prospects

Deals sit around a potential job, because the goal is to turn the opportunity into a live job when the client confirms. The weighted forecast shows potential business over thirty, sixty, ninety and one hundred and twenty days. Both leads and deals have list and pipeline views, and you can create several pipelines for different BD processes.
