How to convert a lead into a deal or a client in Recruitly
Convert a lead into a contact when they become a client, or into a deal with a role, job type and estimated fee when a hiring need appears, then into a job.
The point of a lead is to become business. In Recruitly you convert a lead at the right moment: into a contact when they become a client, or into a deal when there is a likely hiring requirement.
Watch it on Recruitly Play (2 min 6 s), part of the Win clients series.
Convert a lead into a client contact
On the leads board, open the lead, click Convert and choose Contact. They now sit in Contacts in the left sidebar.
Convert a lead into a deal
- Open the lead, click Convert and choose Deal.
- Give the deal a title, such as the role you may hire for, for example Sales Manager.
- Choose the job type and enter the estimated deal value, the fee you expect.
When the client confirms, convert the deal into a job. See the sales CRM and job management.
When should a lead become a deal?
When there is a potential hiring requirement behind it. The deal records the role, job type and the fee you expect.
Can a deal become a job?
Yes. Once the client confirms the requirement, convert the deal into a job.
