Pasting a password into a chat leaves it there forever. Loops stops you, and gives you two safe ways instead: send it once to a colleague, or keep it in Secrets for the team.

Watch it on Recruitly Play (3 min 5 s), part of the Run your desk series.

Send a secret once

  1. Paste a key into a message and Loops warns you it looks like a secret. Press Make it a Secret.
  2. Choose who it is for and what it is: a login, a key, a card or a note.
  3. An unread copy expires in a day, or pick an hour or a week.
  4. Press Seal and send. It is locked on your computer before it leaves, and not even Recruitly can read it.

Your colleague presses Reveal. It shows for thirty seconds with their name across it, hides when copied, and is then gone. You see when it was opened, never what it said, and Revoke takes it back.

Keep team logins in Secrets

  1. Press the key on the left to open Secrets, press New and pick what you are saving, such as a login.
  2. Name it, type the login and password, and press Next.
  3. Tick who can use it. Leave Sensitive on and it only opens after someone else on it says yes.
  4. Press Seal and save.

A colleague presses Ask to reveal and says why. One yes lets them open it once in the next fifteen minutes, and every opening is on its trail. To give a login in chat, press the lock, choose From Secrets and Share, and nothing is copied into the chat.

When someone leaves

Their access goes at once, and every login they opened is marked Change it until you save a new one. A new laptop opens nothing until you approve it from a computer you already use.

See security and Loops.

Can Recruitly read the passwords I share?

No. A secret is sealed on your computer before it is sent, and only the people it is for can open it.

What happens to shared logins when a recruiter leaves?

Their access is removed at once and every login they opened is flagged to change.
