How to add candidates to a job and move them through your pipeline
Add candidates to a job from your database or from AI Matches, then drag them stage by stage through the recruitment pipeline.
The job pipeline is where a vacancy gets worked. Each column is a stage, each card is a candidate, and moving a card is how you record progress. This video shows the two ways to get candidates onto a job: searching your own database, and letting AI Matches find them for you.
Watch it on Recruitly Play (1 min 32 s), part of the Fill jobs series.
Add a candidate from your database
- Go to Jobs and open the job.
- Open the Pipeline tab and click Add candidate.
- Search your recruiting database for the candidate.
- Pick the pipeline stage and click Add to sourced.
Move candidates stage by stage
Drag and drop a card from one stage to the next as the candidate progresses. The board shows at a glance where every candidate on the job stands, which is what a manager or a colleague covering your desk needs to see. More on the board itself on the recruitment pipeline page.
Add candidates with AI Matches
Switch to the AI Matches tab and Recruitly searches your existing candidates for the best fits against the job's requirements. Review the suggestions, select the ones you want and click Add to job. How the matching works is on AI candidate matching.
Can AI add candidates to the job for me?
AI Matches suggests candidates from your database ranked against the job. You choose who to add, and they go onto the pipeline when you click Add to job.
How do I record that a candidate has moved stage?
Drag their card to the next column on the job's pipeline.
