How to create a placement from the job pipeline, with fee and guarantee

A placement is the moment the work turns into a fee. In Recruitly you log it from the job pipeline, so the candidate, the job and the fee are already on the form, and you add the terms you agreed with the client, including any rebate or replacement guarantee.

Create the placement

1. Open the job and move the candidate to the placement stage.
2. Click Create Placement. The candidate and job details are filled in.
3. Choose whether to add the candidate as a contact after placement, and set the start date.
4. The currency fills itself. Enter the base salary, plus total remuneration and any on-cost if relevant.
5. Check the fee, which is calculated for you, and change it if you need to.
6. On a team, set a different placement owner if you are logging it for a colleague.

Add a rebate or replacement guarantee

Turn on the guarantee if you agreed one with the client and choose the type:

• Replacement followed by rebate: refill the role at no cost, or refund if no replacement is possible.
• Replacement only: a free replacement candidate, no cash refund.
• Rebate only: a fee refund if the candidate leaves within the agreed period.

The default guarantee period is 84 days, and you can change it to match your terms. Review everything and click Create.
