How to talk a client's message through with your team before you reply

Every loop you share with a client has a Sidebar: your team's own chat about it, beside the conversation, that the client never sees. Agree the answer there, then reply as one team.

When a client asks for something in a loop you share with them, like holding your fee for another month, you want your team's view before you answer, and you don't want the client reading that conversation. The Sidebar in Recruitly Loops is your team's own chat about the loop, right beside it. This video shows how to use it.

Talk it through in the Sidebar

  1. Open the loop you share with your client. Beside the chat, click Sidebar, next to This loop and Simi.
  2. Point at the client's message, click the three dots and choose Discuss in Sidebar. Their words are quoted in the Sidebar's box.
  3. Add your question for the team and send it.
  4. Go back to This loop. When your team answers, a dot on the Sidebar tab tells you.
  5. Read what the team said, then answer the client in the loop.

Who can see the Sidebar?

Only the people from your agency who are in the loop. The client, or the candidate, is never in it, and nothing said there reaches them: not in search, not in notifications, not in their portal. When someone from your agency joins or leaves the loop, they join or leave its Sidebar with it.

See Loops in Recruitly.

Why can't I open the Sidebar on a loop?

The Sidebar opens once a client or candidate is in the loop. On a loop of only your team, the tab is there but stays shut, because everyone in the loop is already on your side. See pricing for Loops on your plan.
